Brussels Sprout & Burrata Toasts

Brussels Sprout & Burrata Toasts. The perfect holiday appetizer for any party, gathering, or event. And bonus?! They’re super easy. Crispy toasts topped with buttery shaved Brussels sprouts and thick-cut crunchy bacon. Topped with a melt in your mouth fresh chunk of burrata. Drizzled with olive oil and fresh cracked pepper. Like I said so easy and so so delicious. Happy holiday party season guys !!

We totally have you guys covered on the perfect Christmas appetizer this year. There is nothing more perfect to snack on at a holiday party or gathering than a cute, fun, and delicious toast. They will fill you up and you can get super creative with toast toppings.

But I think Brussels sprouts are super festive around the holidays, they are perfect paired with bacon, and who doesn’t love burrata?! And for those guests that are skeptical about sprouts…trust me, these will change just about anyones mind.

The toast is crispy, the bacon is thick-cut and smoky, the sprouts are buttery, and the burrata is fresh and creamy. There is literally nothing not to like about these bites.

I cannot believe we are officially one week away from Christmas Eve. The holiday season has literally just been flying by. I am so excited for this coming week, but I am not going to lie…I am sad that the season went so quick. I would easily go back to thanksgiving and do it all again if I could !!


Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut tuscan bread

  • 2 - 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 10 ounces shredded brussels sprouts

  • 4 bacon; chopped

  • salt and pepper

  • 8 ounces burrata

Directions

  1. Drizzle the toasts with olive oil. Grill on both sides until toasted. Set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the Brussels sprouts and bacon. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until crispy.

  3. Arrange the toasts on a serving dish. Top with Brussels sprouts and bacon mixture. Cut the burrata into chunks. Top each toast with 1 chunk of burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
