Summer Red Sangria

Summer Red Sangria

While we call this one a summer sangria, it is truly a drink that is delicious all year round. However, the fact that this recipe is very sweet and includes fun summer fruits makes it absolutely perfect for some summer entertaining! This drink is super easy to make and can/should be done ahead of time, so if you do have guests coming over the work will already be done and it will be ready to serve!

We made this sangria for the first time this season on Mother’s Day then we made it again for our MDW barbecue and my birthday dinner! It is super simple, all you need to do is soak your fruit in brandy overnight, pour a store-bought bottle of sangria of your choice into a pitcher and chill, then combine the the fruit, brandy, and sangria together and serve! We love using red apples, oranges, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries for our fruit especially since berries are always so sweet in the summer. Sometimes we throw in a little bit of pineapple, but get creative with your fruit and use whatever you like! Our brand of choice for the sangria is Señor Sangria, but we have also tried Barefoot Sangria and Yago Sangria in the past! Any kind will work just fine!

This drink is perfect for barbecues, beach parties, or just any type of summer entertaining! It makes a pretty decent amount so if you have a few guests over this recipe is perfect!
