Creamy Pancetta & Pea Pasta

Creamy Pancetta & Pea Pasta. Another day of decadent eats and we aren’t upset about it…it’s the holidays so treat yourself, you know?! This pasta is super creamy and filled with crispy pancetta and fresh peas. Sprinkled with lots of Parmesan and black pepper. It’s simple but decadent and delicious. And perfect for when you need a post holiday pick me up !!

Another post holiday feel good dish anyone?! We are now two days past thanksgiving and I am somehow still feeling the post holiday depression vibes. But that’s what comfort food is for, am I right?! And trust me this is the perfectly addicting, comfy, and cozy pasta dish.

This one is creamy and cheesy and loaded with lots of fresh peas and pancetta. I am a huge fan of fresh peas, so fresh peas in a creamy pasta dish? I am totally sold.

Although I was still in my post thanksgiving feels, today was a really fun day. My mom and I went shopping and then went out for afternoon bloody Mary’s. I always love shopping and getting a drink around the holidays when everything is decorated and festive especially when it’s with my mom.

Well the holiday weekend is almost coming to an end, and I am definitely starting to feel the scaries already. But I am super thankful for the great memories I have from this weekend !! Cheers to another thanksgiving weekend in the books !! 2021 was a good one !!


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 pound pancetta; chopped

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1 garlic clove; chopped

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 2 cups fresh peas

  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan reggiano

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 pound pasta

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the pancetta and cook until golden. Transfer the pancetta to a dish and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the pancetta and cook for another few minutes. Add the peas and cheese. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.

  3. Cook the pasta. Drain and add it to the skillet with the pancetta and peas. Toss to combine and serve.
